Just checked my motor mounts and both mag side need replacing
i hear the 2018 mounts are different and they superseded all the old part numbers
i hear of people using 18 pto mounts all the way around anyone have any feedback on using all four 18 pto mounts
there were a few company's out there with kits but they were supposed to be using all 2018 pto mounts
 
I used 2017 PTO mounts on mag side.
My mag side stock mounts we're shot at 1000 miles
 
We checked three sleds in our group all three of the sleds need mag side mounts rode my buddies xcr really smooth compared our 16 and 17 so going to put factory 18 mounts in
 
So what is the tell tale sign that you are in need of new mounts
 
We went on a quebec trip felt some heat on my foot of the clutch side and rpm would jump up a few hundred at 90 miles per hr and felt a vibration through the sled that got worse with speed
rode my buddies 18 twice as smooth pto clutch side motor mounts were fine muffler mag side tons of slop going up and down
they didn't look that bad but when on the stand i could see the top of the mount was not touching at all
i say for 20$ a mount check them ever 1000 miles after installing i have done some home work on what mounts to use i am going with both updated XCR mount and will also try all 4- 18 xcr pto mounts the pto mounts are stiffer than the mag side if your missing a few hundred rpm or your rpm is irratic check those mounts
 
Maybe some pics of good vs bad mounts would be helpful?
 
Tried to post a video all too large trust me put prybar under the recoil and you will see them move up and down
 
Here's my friend's worn out motor mount on his 2017 Assault 800 with 2500 miles. Changed all 4 to the pto side 2018 mounts.

Does running 4 pto mounts cause more vibration to be felt in the bars or footboards?
 
When you get them out, you'll see that the stock mag side rubber is much softer. Not sure why, but they are certainly wearing out quick .
 
Slight increase in vibration at low rpm/idle but other than that.... updated PTO side goes on the MAG side.

I WILL TRY THE XCR SET UP 1ST (ABOVE PARTS NUMBERS THAT SUPER SEE ALL YEAR AYXS MOTOR MOUNTS )
I HAVE ORDERED EXTRA PTO SIDE MOUNTS I AM JUST WONDERING WHY POLARIS DIDN'T INSTALL ALL THE 3023290 PTO SIDE MOUNTS IN THE NEW 2018
IF ANYTHING I WOULD THINK THEY WOULD PUT THEM IN THE MOUNTAIN SLEDS 1ST TO TEST THEM
I AM SURE THE PTO WILL BE FINE BUT HAD A 1000 TWIN AND WAS HAVING MOUNT ISSUES BOUGHT SOME AFTERMARKET
MOUNTS ENDED UP RIPPING THE TUNNEL DONT WANT TO GO BACK DOWN THAT WELDING REPAIR ROAD AGAIN
 
I'm also replacing all 4 this weekend with the 2018 mounts. Under 3k miles and they are more than worn out. Close to 1/2" play on the mag side.
 
Are the 2017 XCR s Motor mounts the same as the 2018 xcr ?
 
Ordered 4 to replace mine but on b/o until early next month.
 
what is he procedure for changing these things out? 1 hour, couple hours, all day?
 
Installed mine last night didn't like the way the mag side fit
i installed 4 pto mounts i feel much better fit if we get another
ride will report our findings

Will these fit in the ‘12 chassis or only the axys?
