finally in a position to upgrade from my 2006 skidoo renegade 600sdi. looking to get into either a 600 rush pro s or a switchback pro s. looking at models 2015-2017. anything i need to pay special attention to? what would be considered hi miles for each particular year? i know this last question is extremely opinionated, which sled is best for trail riding? thanks in advance for the help

Think you'd want to concentrate on a '16 up, 600 is a good ride but you'll find better mileage n smoother engine on an 800. Choice between Switchback and Pro S is 100% subjected n should be based on which one feels best to you. While I've enjoyed a few miles on a Switch, much prefer the feel n sharper manners of a Rush, not a bad choice between them though.

thank you for the response. i'm actually looking at 800 now. i realized the price of them and the insurance costs are very minimal. with that being said and all your experience, do feel that's there's minimal difference on trail between the 2? i completely understand it is all subject to personal preference. i'm looking to get the most reliable comfortable riding sled. thanks again for help

While a 600 does the job well, the 800 does it just that much better. Smoother n quieter with better mileage. Yet to ride a sled that is more fun with better ergos. Only downside to the Axys, unless you buy rear bag / dash bad, no storage (have both on mine). Small thing to bitch about as the sled never ceases to put a ridiculous grin on my face. I've also got a tall windshield which translates into also comfortable n keeps you warm when the temps plummet.

cool! i truly appreciate your time and opinions. really good friend has 18 800 assault 144 with 2'' track, he gets better mpg than my 600sdi. so i know how good the motor is. thanks again sir

Budget is 5-7000. After going to a few dealers, 99% positive going to get a SB. I’m just thinking after talking to multiple people that’s the direction I’m going to in.

Well good luck with your purchase and post up some pictures.
