Pro-XC 144 switchback

Who did you end up getting your drivers from and are you happy with them? Thanks

Awesome build Heath. Gonna love to see how it performs against the 144" IGX Assault this season....from a trail handling perspective.

im curios to how much more track you actually have in contact with the ground? in the pics it looks like you have only gained a couple inches at best,, did u measure the contact area with the 136 and 144 installed?
just wondering because i would want the added ability in deeper snow. thanks.

The rails are 1-5/8 longer all from the rear suspension mount back. They are also not tipped. Most of the track length is taken up by the big rear wheels and 10 tooth drivers.Rolling angles have been greatly reduced. The whole idea behind this build is speed, that's why I chose the hacksaw and the length. Other tracks will fit, I'm still brain storming the back snow flap.

With 8 tooth 2.86 drivers, 1.74 gears, gates belt, OD primary, standard gauge, and cobra track with 144 studs: it would not go any faster then 118 on speedo. And did this multiple times. Never did gps, have the app on my phone now.. lol

We will find that out this season cuz Brock and Richy will both have Assaults to compare notes with.
Gonna be some good riding and some laughs in Quebec again bud.
:D

As for top speed , all 4 of us did 118 mph on speedo.
We have a v box, but couldn't get it to work on the I phone properly. We all had 1.73-1.74 ratios .

Best mine has done was 110 flash on the IDD with 109 consistent. All stock except 144 gold diggers. Same when going to a 120/310 primary. Regear to 23-40 and 48/44 helix and stock sec spring never more than 106. 10-70's were slower yet.

The only thing is Heath.
We all have different engines ;):D

the speed is relative, given a long enough distance ,with hero snow most sleds will top out well. the key is a to b the quickest. meaning will take a more powerfull sled less distance to mph, because of harder acceleration.

Its all about ET 1st one to end wins if i get a chance to ride with Doc and Brock this year I will pray for a foot of fresh snow the night before and my Cobra might keep me within a dozen lengths of these hacksaws
cant wait plus 30c and everyone in mod mode love it

The helix dident hurt you,the gear did. You took load away by dropping the ratio and dident add any back to the clutches. You lost some efficiency, are you shifting all the way in the primary?
