    Primary clutch rebuild

Pic is of old parts off primary. What I've noticed in the past few years. The spider buttons new aren't as thick as used ones (.250"-.245"),so you have to use the 0.002",0.006", 0.0010" spacers. The warn bushings ID is better and smaller then new bushings ID . Not much, one or two thousands of...

    0.250" compression height w/shim

Not a big fan of the "shim and larger compression height pistons "vs Polaris. Did this in mine and won't do it again. Seen to many kits with shims and raised compression heights in pistons that have failed and half the life of stock Polaris know. I tried it twice and no more. Cat and wossner...

    Hot pipe switch

made these awhile back and never had a chance to Dyno test with a stock 800 axys . Jim at dtr has one on Thursday. It's to get proper pipe heat that we never see on trail/racing , etc I'll let everyone know how it goes
  16. B

    Pipe heat is very important

Look at the digital wrench screen while on dyno. We put the values we want to read while testing . Mag and pto base ignition timing is the "desired timing" Mag and pto ignition timing is actual "timing" To make the sophisticated learning ecu get the actual timing to the desired timing it...

    Stay away from terra alps

I'm so pissed at terra alps it's not even funny . First of all, his head cover and domes were and are my nightmare. They don't seal properly and compression ratio he has stamped and what I wanted isn't 12:1, it's 12.7:1. The press in fitting for bypass wasn't even pressed in and no loctite...

    Dyno testing for the good

We don't just go to the dyno to see HP and torque. It's about figuring out what's going on to improve also. This image shows the digital wrench we look at and record while testing. Lots values can be added to screen but we choose these. This shows a split second of timing being backed out...

    840 at dynotech

Good day on dyno with Jim. Haulins sled/motor did good even though it had Quebec gas which was only 89 octane and 15c or 58f temps with humidity. 175 HP and 110 torque on a motor that was iantomasi build. The motor is Sooooooo smooth . Even though the dyno corrects, if it would have been...
