I used air to remove and air to re install, no glue.
Tried after reading someone else's post about how slick it works (ok so looked for a better way after trying glue n damaging heaters in the past). Cuts down on 99.9% of the usual swearing it use to involve.
According to the parts looks up, came with a dual rate FTS (95/280) which is the same as mine had. If you look at the spring with sled sitting static, suspect you'll see tighter coils are actually in full coil bind, yes even with you off the sled. This means you've lost, benefit of the lighter...
While a 600 does the job well, the 800 does it just that much better. Smoother n quieter with better mileage. Yet to ride a sled that is more fun with better ergos. Only downside to the Axys, unless you buy rear bag / dash bad, no storage (have both on mine). Small thing to bitch about as the...
Think you'd want to concentrate on a '16 up, 600 is a good ride but you'll find better mileage n smoother engine on an 800. Choice between Switchback and Pro S is 100% subjected n should be based on which one feels best to you. While I've enjoyed a few miles on a Switch, much prefer the feel n...

What dually and similar carbides are really doing, masking the problem by taking away front end bite. On my own, tried several different carbides on the stock skis then moved onto a set of Doo Pilot skis followed by SLP / SLTs (tried a bunch of different carbides on each of...
During break in, there is simply no substitute for factory break in mode. Well worth the time and effort to have dealer reset, only takes a moment or three to perform.
In my case, trying to repair did not seem prudent for two reasons.
1- need it to be reliable
2- last thing I wanted is to created a short
With that in mind, did not attempt to repair / replaced element.
Air method to remove grip works like a charm.
Simple test with a magnet to confirm steel or...
Wires are prone to damage / breaking right at the handwarmer itself.
If you need to replace, dramatic increase in heat from alum handlebar version (assuming sled has steel bars now of course).
IMHO
Place you need to start, either opt for the 150 front track spring or even better jump right to the XCR shock and spring combo. My initial problem was never ending bottom of the front track shock along with heavy steering and darting. No matter how much I adjusted, could improve it but...
Amazing how much wt some of them will pull vs others with similar clutching set up. What we will be testing this season, how much effect high / preload of the FTS makes on rolling resistance and clutching along with top end pull.
