I am currently rebuilding my primary clutch. I am curious as to the tightness of the housing bushings in the movable sheave and the cover. The cover is not bad as I can put it on with little force, but the movable sheave was quite hard to remove, and installing it takes the same amount of force. Is it normal for the bushing on the movable sheave to have to be forced on the shaft? Is it not supposed to move fairly easy on the shaft? Should I not be able to pull it up and down towards the spider with little effort?

Thanks.

Yes it should move with little effort. Did you replace the bushings?
