Hey guys, this might be a question asked many of times but I have to ask , I have a 2011 rush 800 with roughly 4000 miles in it , noticed it ran a little boggy so checked compression and found mag side is 120 psi and pto is 90 psi , I will be doing a “fix kit into it “ , now the question is should I replace the injectors in it or leave them ? What has everyone else been doing ? Thanks

What you need to find out is why it burned down, was it a plugged injector?

Sorry for the delayed reply but I just joined the group & read your post. . In 2010 due to EPA Polaris turned all of there oil pumps down to be in compliance with EPA due to they made very little 4 strokes so there average had to be lower on the 2strokes. As you can read or see videos on the sleds through the years from 2010 to around 2014 or 2015 most of them say that they are oil sipping & are great on the little oil that they use,. What they dont tell you is that around your mileage or even sooner it will melt down due to the lack of oil. They were all found out to be running from 80:1 up to 100:1. You need to look at your marks on the oil pump & turn it up to get sufficient oil.

Yes it does suck & the dealers never said anything to anybody. You should probably pull the injectors & clean them but your problem is more than likely the lack of oil. Found all this out when my buddy's 2010 rush 600 lost a cylinder at 4200 miles. He kept telling me that ( This thing is great on oil ) lol. When we put it back together we used spi pistons & had to have that one cylinder replated. We lined the marks up on the oil pump & it took 4 full turns of the adjuster to get it there. I bought a 13 swithchback 800 a few years ago with 300 miles. I put oil in the gas until I could check the ratio which then when I did it was 80:1. My buddy's now has over 11,000 miles trouble free since I rebuilt it. To check ratio you keep track of gas usage & fill oil up & times the gallons by 128 then divide that by the ounces of oil. If you roughly use a quart of oil for 10 gal You are at 40:1 which you could run a little leaner than that but I would stay close. Good luck with your sled

Hey, my 2010 rush 600 did the exact same thing, How did you turn up the oil pump? where is it located?

Number 10 rod goes from the oil pump up to the throttle body which has a set screw & nut that you have to adjust. I dont think pic came out right but you can see the rod on the breakdown on Babbits sight. Locate the pic of oil pump which you will see the rod & follow it from oil pump to throttle body or vise versa
