I was wondering if anyone has done the research for a alternative Synthetic oil that can be used such as Canadian Shell Advance Synthetic oil or any other brand of oil that can be used in Polaris PRO R and Switchback

Use what Polaris recommends. Usually API or JASO. If it has the right rating it's the right oil for your machine. Things you want to consider when buying oil (providing you meet the ratings). Petroleum based oils have a limited pour point when it gets cold. Semi-Synthetic oils have no standard ratio on how much of it is synthetic, meaning you could put a couple ounces of synthetic oil in a gallon of petroleum based oil and call it a "synthetic blend". I would always recommend a full synthetic mostly for the lower pour point.

Polaris dealer said it’s okay to use amsoil Intercepter with the yellow cap. Also will not void their warranty. I also have the Pro R 2014. I have used this oil since sled was brand new.

Polaris, or any other manufacturer, cannot void a warranty based on what oil you use as long as it has the required ratings.
