Hear you on the low snow got my first good ride last weekend and just about 500 miles in the sled. I am impressed with the handle bar warmers and wind protection for my hands. We rode in 5F deg temps and on my Axyes I would have had some gauntlets on to keep my hands warm. Never needed them...
If you have ice built up use a heat gun hair dryer to thaw them out. It takes a bit to turn them but you ussual can turn them. You can even use a wrench just a pain to get in.
The stock Polaris belts are good for durability but not good for long term performance. You probably seen the belt getting a glaze on it and the primary clutch was getting a slight black coating on from the belt slipping even through the belt will still look new. You can scuff up the belt that...
Jamie I see your on Hardcore asking about the raise between the VR1 and Assault the Assault rise is taller. What you could also like at is the adjustable risers that may help dial the bars in better
Jamie has your dealer opened up a case for you that the fuel grade is changing back to ethanol without your input. Read were others have seen this and there may an update but dealers are asking customers to let them know so they can open up a case for them.
That's great your able to ride and nice report. We were going to go into the UP this weekend but a friend was up mid week and told us not to come up. Actually possible looking at a trip out West (Montana Wyoming) if things don't turn around in the next week or 2. Going crazy not being able to...
Right now I have aluminum set screws in the tip and steel mid with the locking screw but no snow to try them. We have a river that we run on occasion but it's not my ideal place to ride. Friend of mine was running it Saturday night hit a slush hole and barrel rolled his sled with 40 miles on...
Not formilure with the dalton but do you use blue loctite to prevent the set screws from turning. The SLP magnum has to have the set screws fully installed and has a locking screw
Engagement should be around 3800-4000 top RPM should be 8000. The 10mb(blue) weight is correct @ 47.5 grams but are the weights ground at all and did you way them. Also make sure the rollers are free. The blue spring is the correct but is it a Polaris blue spring. Working on that old of a...
Chris that sucks but if your going to take a year off this seems like the year to do it. Strong sled demand and no snow don't normally happen. In 2011 I broke some bones in my throttle hand in December but still rode the whole season. May not have been the best decision as whet the trails...
I'm in full swing snowmobile depression. Don't work Fridays in the winter and take quite a few Thursdays off. I normally get 3000 to 4000 miles per year. I'm not going beat the crap out of my sled in low snow conditions. I have 80 miles on so far.
Rhell14. Just as Just-Pinch-it said the 1.325 track is basically a 1.25 track there's just some rubber pads that slightly raise above the lug to make it a 1.325. I don't see any difference in lug height either between the outside lugs and inside that's the first I heard that. For comparison...
I don't have a tied 2ndary to help with but from my testing you seem high on your RPM. Don't know your application but the 850's I have pulled the best 8050-8100.
Check your belt to sheave clearance mine engages smooth and I have about .015 clearance on as new belt. My wife's old sled was harsh and I needed to reshim the clutch.
