My sled also came with the dually's and they worked well. But I thought that the Slim Jims performed just as good as the dually's in all conditions, and better in loose snow conditions.

It's kinda like batting right-handed vs left handed. I also am way better sidehilling/carving on brake side riding goofy-foot, than I am on throttle side. And it's been that way no matter what sled I ride. I just need more practice on my throttle side.
Logic would say you could get new a-arms and steering tie rods. Not sure if the shocks would fit - might need those too. However, I have heard of an aftermarket company (Mountain Side Products) that makes offset spindles. I believe the ones for the Assault will get you 1" narrower on each...
No real mods yet. Goggle bag, windshield bag, ice-scratchers and made the snow flap removable for off-trail days. Otherwise all stock and I've been pretty happy as-is.
