Ok so i kinda of switched some stuff around today.
1.68 gearing for 1.325 cobra track
140/340 spring
70 gram epi belly busters
155/222 spring
66/62 helix
Rpms would come in at 79-8,000 then just stay at 8,100..... put in the 140/320 spring and rpms dropped to 7,700 rpms.
I have been making 1 change at a time. Thats why i have so many extra parts so i can just sit in my garage and change something and go out on my lake and test and pull right back in. Problem is nothing is changing
No i didnt like the tuckedness of the ssi weights and bushing are shot. Right now i have bikeman adjustable 10 series profile, i also have 70 gram epi weights, 10-68 and 10-66 weights
Ya ive tried 2 different gates belts and 2 different polaris belts. No changes in rpm. I figured i would be able to pull more weight then stock. Just rattling my brain over here
Indy dan rebuilt, machined for overdrive and balanced my primary clutch. I also have a set of 70 gram epi bellybusters i can try. I might try regearing back to stock and just start over to
Compression is still the same as last year when it was pulling like a freight train i just checked it the other day so power is still there. Afr is 12.8-12.9 with pipe temps around 1100-1200 in trail but 1000 in short 8 sec pulls. I still have 24 chissles but im running the one size shorter...
Ok just tried the 160-240. Rpms were definitely more consistent but with my lake having no snow and the ice is bumpy not smooth consistent traction is hard.
Trying to get this clutching and gearing dialed in.... heres the setup right now
140/320 spring with bikeman 10 series profile weights, 140-200 spring with 64-60 helix, 1.74 gearing. Track is 1.35 cobra with 168 lake racing studs. She hooks
Right now i cant seem to pull good rpm. Its like it...
Ya im confused here to. I thought the 155-222 would be stiffer then my 140-200. I think 8m using to soft of a spring in my team tied and my belts dropping down to fast
