A new Polaris belt for 800 axys is around 0.040”-0.060” belt to sheave normally. Check with new belt? Gates belt is around 0.020”-0.030” wider then the Polaris belt

The magnets didn’t hold to the underside. Didn’t take long either Needs to be on thrust or trail side of weight . Oh well. Just an experiment

I agree with you . The axys 800 stock head is 0.053” squish and has a cut to avoid det. Most are just top hat/hemi style that won’t gain much over stock. Lower temp t stat head/ head cover would seem more beneficial. Polaris now has that too. But, it’s expensive.

Remember. The 2016 sb pro s800 has 2.86 pitch track and 8 tooth driver. Has the ripsaw which in my mind needs studs a 1/2” longer. You want more top end?? With stock pipe it’s supposed to rev 8250 rpm at tops(no higher). So 8250 rpm at 1:1 ratio with a 1.73 gearing gives you 103.5 mph. An...

Glad u got it. Get that clutch balanced now and make sure u didn’t hurt crank seal Don’t use 8-10 lbs.mallet/sledge unless its the last resort imo

Is the aftermarket puller bending on you? Don’t heat the clutch shaft as the crank seal may suffer. Put clutch puller in snug/titght and strike it with a sharp blow with a 8-10 lbs sledge and try impact(I don’t like to use an impact or sledge). I’ve had some real hard ones in my day too. If...
