    New to polaris

Run some seafoam through the engine, although I do this 2 times a season to give the fuel system a cleaning, add Fuel stabilizer to the full tank of fuel. I usually leave my sleds at least half tank of fuel in them. The siphon it out and use in the truck at the beginning of the season. As for...

Pockets, are you getting the Slick washers from Indy Dan or elsewhere? I checked on SLP site and they don't show them. Or is there anywhere in Canada? I see you are in Alberta. I am in NS.

    Assault 800 144 question

There's no comparison between the Pro Ride SBA and the AXYS SBA chassis machines. I drove my friends 2012-14s and I hated the handle bars and the overall feel of the sled. My 2017 AXYS SBA 800 is an absolute BLAST to ride and for me its amazingly comfortable. The 800 HO has a few more HP as...

    2017 switchback 800

I am running a 50/42 and a 140/240, Dalton QAP3s, Dalton 135/310 Primary, SLP Pipe and PCV. Sled hauls ass! This running against my Buddies INDY XC 850 while he's testing clutching and gearing. There's one 850 in our group that's a weapon. We figure he cut his head, has an ECU reflash or timing...

    Anyone Running Straightline NOS System

I ran one on my 2014 INDY 800 that had the motor done to the nuts. As Pockets said, hit the button and skis never touch the ground. I also seen 400 RPMs gain and 3 sled lengths in 660' gain. I still have it and not sure what sled I am putting it on yet!

Only way to tell if the can robs HP is to take the sled somewhere you can open it up, take the stock muffler with you and watch your RPMs and see how the sled reacts. For any parts go to www.venomproducts.com

    2018 switchback assault

Ya 22-40 Is a 1:81 ratio. 41/22 is 1:86. If you’re running in the mountains doing long pulls I’d stay with a lower gear ratio such as stock or 1:95ish. I’d prob stay with the QAP3s and you could go to a 320/330 finish on the primary spring if you aren’t pulling 8200. Unless you have the QAP2s...

    2018 switchback assault

The stock secondary spring in that is light and wears out quickly. Replace it with a 140/220. Allow it to pull 8200. Dalton Adjustables are the best all around easy to use weights. QAP3s are the ones you want. With the 2" track I run a 1:86 ratio as I do 50/50 trail and cut lines looking for powder.

    Introduction to Snowmobiling

Ya you are going to need the scratchers down unless there is a significant amount of snow that's being kicked up. I can't remember if that sled has a digital guage or not? If so, run it on the temperature setting and don't go above 160 degrees. When you to see 140-145, then look for some powder...

    Introduction to Snowmobiling

Oh and make sure you have a tool kit with you. Common tools would be an adjustable wrench, 1/2", 9/16", 5/8", 14-15mm wrenches, pliers, zip ties and for 100% you need a spark plug wrench and 2 extra plugs for each sled. Also be sure to have an extra belt for each sled.

    Introduction to Snowmobiling

I would think if you haven't snowmobiled in a while, then a 100 mile day would be lots of riding for you. Your RMK isn't really a trail friendly driving sled. Do you know what size the lug is on the track? As for the INDY 550 you will get around 90-110 miles to a tank I would think.

    Compression numbers

Depending on what guage you have the number is whats important. I have a cheaper autoparts store guage and both my Engines read 110. I have had the sleds since new and also documented the Compression reading, so I know my base numbers and current and I am only off by maybe 1-1.5psi since new.
