axys switchback pro X performance upgrades? for 300+ lbs riders before gear

They like to get stuck at that 98 mph mark with the big track. And stock gears. Although I have hit 102 with big track before in perfect conditions and buddy hit 104. Max. But it's not all the time. You may want to try and gear up just a touch. I did at one time but it ran the same. That track...

    More Spring or Less Weight??

Try just changing to 68 first. One change at a time. And see how it responds. Then you can play with secondary spring to sort of fine tune . the 68 will change the characteristic of shift so try that change alone.

    More Spring or Less Weight??

whate it do when you launch it out of hole. Does it overshift (drop rpm) and have a hard time recovering as opposed to pulling it fromhigher rpm while moving at speed ? Or no matter what is it 8000-8050.

    More Spring or Less Weight??

I would drop to 68 grams. Im resistant to running springs over 310 not that I would rule it out but just explore the other direction first. See where the 68 get you. Is what I personally would try first.

    More Spring or Less Weight??

What about if your riding hard enough to get the pipe temp up so it's crispy and then pull it hard from say traveling around 6500 rpm will it pull higher rpm, less or same. ?

My take on AXYS down HP/fade

This senerio has been a suspect in our loop since early 15 season. My buddy was designing a device that would monitor the valves for full open position that the rider could directly observe and then correlate to how the sled was performing. It kinda went the wayside since the 16-17 have been so...

    Friction

No problem. The wheels go in the rails .btw. Sports unlimited Utica ny. Ask for Joe. He will answer any questions about materials choice of wheel. Etc. there is some small mod. Needed to assemble easy stuff. But if you get a kit. Get some directions. Just to make it easy.

    Friction

For a shorty there is a kit that has a shaft and stainless mounts and hardware to add a extra set of idlers. On a switch it's more complicated but there again is kit that adds. Idler wheels shaft ,wheels ,stainless mounts and hardware etc. on a switch you move the stocks wheels into different...

    Jaws pipe heatshield

Thanks fuse. That's what I was thinking. That keeping more heat in the pipe would keep it performing well in a bigger window.

    Jaws pipe heatshield

Fuse .did you notice any performance, runability ,or consistency gains with the use of the shields ? I like the idea of keeping more heat in that pipe but did the shields make a noticeable difference. ?

    Friction

I had a wheel kit and relocation kit on switchback. It pretty much eliminates the slide wear in front of and below the rear arm. These are high friction points. I don't know if it equates into mph. But I def. didn't hurt and slides last . Me and buddy had them and on days you could smell the...

    Jaws pipe heatshield

Jaws emailed me 157 Canadian. Should have more ready to ship next week.(per email) they also said no fuel controller needed on 17 model. Just for info. Here is my question are the shields to protect sled or keep under hood heat down a lil OR are they to keep heat in the pipe. And to the guys...
