    Target RPM's

So, in short, a guy should clutch a stock motor stock exhaust '17 to achieve 8400 WOT RPM instead of the prior models target of 8200-8250??

    Idler wheel replacement?

No part #. Call them up and describe what you're looking for. They'll guide you and provude the available options. That's what I did anyways. For a set-up like Brock's, be prepared to shell out some cash!!

Do you have to disconnect the pipe from the y pipe to install the heat shield?

    Friction

Not sure how much OEM hyfax are, so can't do the comparison. I recall paying ~$135/pair for the DuPont hyfax. Not from dealer. Maybe a Yamaha dealer can order if one knew the correct part # since Yamaha makes these hyfax for all the OEM's? I'd Google search. I bought both pairs 2 years ago...

    Friction

I added DuPont hyfax to both my '16 and '17 not necessarily for friction resistance, but because I don't want to change hyfax every off season on 2 machines.

Bikeman stage 3 was happy until???

For clarity here, if you're looking to run a PCV or a Bully Dog programmer you're better off with the BMP pipe. MY2015/16, the Jaws pipe was designed and tuned to perform with no PCV or Bully Dog tune installed. Also, was designed to run on stock clutching/gearing. Now, many on here know there's...

For clarity are the Cutler Turbo Mags tucked like the V3's and SSI's or same as a 10 series heel?

2017 Assualt owners a ? for trail users.

Dave, my first 144 was a Nytro XTX from a handful of years ago. It was my first attempt at a track that was longer than the 137's I was used to at the time. Tipped up rails and 1.25" RipSaw track to make it more trail friendly. I purchased strictly for on trail. I was pleasantly surprised how...

    Black Scorpion Project

Thanks for sharing your posts. However, my primary on both my '16 and new '17 definitely don't have that much play depicted in that video. By adding that shim kit would require machining of the spider for the shim kit to work properly as the weights will not move freely without machining. And...

    DYNOTYME II !!!!!

Would the aftermarket clutching be any different versus 2015/2016 because of less timing up top and any overall ECU changes? Same thing as it relates to the gearing too?

    DYNOTYME II !!!!!

Awesome guys. Thanks for sharing your findings with the group here. I guess in the case of the Jaws pipe, it's disappointing to see only 2 HP, but relieved to know it holds power on a hot pipe and doesn't lose anything. Brock, I know you had good success with Greg's exhaust reducer on a '16...

    TEAM TIED TEST

An even wiser man told me a 66-61 Tied helix if you want to best mirror the 50-44 FP TSS-04 helix.... 68-63 is slightly more aggressive, especially in the finish angle, but can be done. The 63 finish angle is closer to a 46 finish angle on a TSS-04 helix. 66-61 FP Tied helix is custom cut ramp...

    Black Scorpion Project

Excellent point. My old Apex had the relays above the left footwell and on one occasion the belt blew and took out a relay. It was a poor decision on Yamaha's part to locate them there because of this reason. At least these relays are centrally located on the cross member away from debris...
