Great feedback guys. There has been a lot of site traffic waiting to see what the final #'s would be.
Now we know. If I were in the market for a pipe mod from SSI, I would be boxing it up tonight and shipping it out in the morning. Those guys are going to be SWAMPED in the very near future!
One thing to check when you have the manifold off. Clean the mating surface off and check for warpage.
They were known for warping/ cracking. An easy way to straighten it is to find a piece of glass ( A poor mans flat table). Lay a sheet of 100 grit sand paper on it and draw the manifold over it...
That would be fan cooled. 60 to 65 mph top speed. My wife still has a 96 Super Sport which is pretty much the same sled. They are pretty compact as far as handle bar height. Would be a perfect starter sled for the younger kids. The fanner is bulletproof. You wouldn't have to worry about...

I'm looking for a 15 x 1.00 or 1.25 track for an 05 600 classic.
Must be in good shape with no missing lugs. A new take off would be ideal.
PM me with what you've got and what you want for it.
Thanks, Brian
Which is kind of strange because I was always under the impression that the clutch must go on dry, or the clutch may turn on the crank causing galling and very tough to remove the clutch the next time.Dunno
