My PCV readings and DW readings are a little different. If it's way out on your PCV it's likely off a ways on DW too. Idle reading is closer than 100% throttle reading.
Did you buy your kit from NSP?
If that’s who your talking about and your interested enough to do your research a lot of this stuff was on HCS/Snowest/PSP before he was selling kits. I don’t say this to demean anybody. Most of this is archived and still on those sites.
Ask the guy about his...
I’ve seen sleds win Haydays with giant secondary springs. Also seen others win rockin a Polaris Red (weak) in a button clutch. From what I’ve seen over the years the overall setup is more important than clutching theories.
A tach isn’t a measure of performance. Timers measure ET not tachs...
I ran the SLP pipe in to the stock can for a couple of years and it fit fine. I did bend the tabs and use a short spring on one of them.
I can’t say I’ve noticed a gain or loss with either muffler. All my testing was done with the stock muffler. SLP is lighter and louder.
Dave if your...
I could care less about snowmobile politics. Love/hate RKT, BMP or whoever it doesn't matter. I sell nothing. Sponsored by nobody. I can run whatever I want to run. From my experience, the best piston available from a reliability standpoint for the 800 HO motor is the stock piston. If I...
Dr., I definitely agree you could end up with similar performance running different setups. I've had race setups that ran similar ET's with different setups. (One FP and one dual angle) The Dalton's are a good weight but if you really want to play around with weight placements have you tried...
I think the individual weights were around 66.8 empty. I think they wanted to overshift at around 100 feet even unloaded. (not stock secondary, geared, 144 1.45's in the snow, testing 2 years ago) As you know when you put the screws to the Axys 800 stock it can overshift in that area. I...
I'm assuming you could also take a heavier weight and cut it in the center section to give you a heavier tip and heel?
When pulling the sled pretty good the Dalton's are more likely to overshift in the low/mid area than the Polaris 10 series.
I really like the Dalton weights. They are my favorite weight in a few different models. I tested them on the Axys. The weight placement is different than the stock 10 series weights. I had faster ET's with the 10 series weights with the helix's we were using. I'm sure if we played with...
The Polaris Race Dept has the same track dyno. They got it many years ago. If I remember correctly they traded sleds for the test track dyno. They've been around for quite a few years. The unit used to use a Portatree Eliminator on it if I remember correctly. The guy who built it used to...
I had two Anniversary sleds with me, my sled was running gold diggers. We run stock tracks. We engage pretty low. Guess I never really paid much attention to what other people were running. Well I did notice the RedCup guys had a Cat two stroker all chiseled up.
Accuweather says Cable that...
