It stinks the issue your having I have heard others are having similar issues, even my dealer said something about it when I picked up my new sled. Yesterday I did the update on both my 15 and 19 and all seemed to go well.
Yep if you take your time working the seal out you will have no problem using them over. When reinstalling the seal you can kind of feel them snap back in. I have done this many of times with no issues, I usually try to do the idler wheel bearing also once year.
Just last Saturday I popped the seal out of the bearing with a thin flat blade screw driver and fill it back up with grease using a needle valve (like used to put air in a football) on the end of a grease gun. I also did my driveshaft bearing. There wasn't much grease in either of them.
Pretty sure the only way to load a new map is with a laptop, don't believe it's possible to store one on a flash drive and transfer directly to your power commander.
If it's like the older pc5 unit this isn't correct you could run any 2 maps you wanted, like a safe fuel map for trail riding and a hot map just for short races.
I'm not sure if the new power commander for the axys is like the old pc5 that held 2 maps but if it doesn't all you have to do is load the new map for the pipe when the time comes.
