Yes I did Brett. With the combo in post 103 I could roll by my '17 without much problem at 8200. This was in northern Maine at near zero temps. The rpm I gave in post 105 was in the western part of the state, 2000' ish so rpm was down, I never gave it a thought until I saw 8200 up north at close...

changed out the 10-64 to heavy 10-66, (66.5 grams). 8050 to 8100. Pulls way harder at this RPM against my '17 600.

8100 is about the slowest I've turned it. I think I'll dig out the radar gun and see where these things make best power.

I'll gladly shave a couple of mph to get a good trail set up. I'm currently running 140-310, 10-64, 140-240, 48-44F. This is working well so far.

Dave, how did that secondary work ?

Good point. They look quite aggressive through the bottom and mid range. I have a 140-310 primary spring that may help carry my rpm to the top end. I'd like to see 8250-8300 way on top.

Not yet Dave, hopefully this weekend. I'm a little worried that they'll be heavy. I may shave a gram off before dropping them in. lol

Put over 500 miles on over the week end on the combo I posted earlier. Groomed fluffy powder 8200. Early morning groomed hard pack at 5 degrees 8250-8300. Stock gearing and Gates belt.

Dave, I'd try the 10-64's. that should give you a couple hundred. If the back shift feels soft try the 140-220. sounds like the 11-64's act heavy.

120-310, 10-64, 140-220, 46-42F. short mid range roll ons are 8200rpm going up the slope. smoother than stock clutching. Better mid range pull. 11-64 next. Good call on the helix Dr.

thanks for the info Dr. Notadoo , I now have access to that helix. I'll probably try it just for testing. It worked very well in our edge 600's. has anyone tried Polaris 11 series weights? I have 11-64 I'm going to try.

I don't have the helix. that's the same basic set up we used in our edge 600s but with 10-62. My new indy still pulls over 8200 with 10-66 and 310 finish. these things are very strong for 600s!

    Indy 600 clutching

thanks Brett, good info. I'm going to keep the rpm as you suggest. I am going to try 10-66 team 150-310 and a 52-40 F helix with 140-240 secondary. what do you think?

    Indy 600 clutching

Brett, have you tried loading it any heavier, maybe 68 grams, to run at 8000? I'd try it but we have zero snow here. DT has been close on the dyno numbers over the years, maybe they missed on this one.

how hard are you guys turning these motors? my '16 600 sp ran 8200 to 8250 with 64grams. I put 66 grams in and it still turns 8200+. I have a dyno sheet that shows these make best power at 7700 to 7800. any ideas?
