iq shift

Looking for some advise here, I have a 2010 550 IQ Shift that I went to install a new battery and reversed the polarities, now when the battery is hooked up there is a short that trips the reset-able fuse . The sled starts with manual start and I did check the rectifier and it is not shorted...
