2008 Dragon RMK Hard to start

2008 Dragon Rmk 155
I just bought a new rmk and it take about 10 pulls to start. I then runs just fine. it starts 1st pull when its warm. What gives?
 
It should start with no throttle at all

If it doesn’t, it can be many things. Plugs, tps out of adjustment, bad fuel, fuel pump, fuel filter sock
 
I replaced the gas now it starts in 2 pulls! The old gas looked like piss.
 
My guess is it was stored with ethanol fuel.
I drain everything and refill with premium/ stabilizer in the off season from chain saws to lawn mowers, weed whackers, power washers, snow blowers, snowmobiles, generators, etc. I run a small business that uses a lot of small engines. I've never had a problem pulling something out of storage and firing it up.
Plus I don't the have time to overhaul carburetors and drain out rancid fuel before I sent out a piece of equipment to a jobsite.
