04 RMK900, 02 600 Edge, 98 500, 98 XLT, 96 XLT, 95 XLT, 88 Indy 400, 76 TX 440, 76 Scorpion Whip, 72 Colt SS,
I have a 1998 XLT 600 Classic (evolved chassis) that needs the rubber hood straps replaced. How do you remove the old fastener and apply a new one?
 
So I visited the parts breakdown online and it is not much help as the part number is the same for the inner and outer piece, not much help. The inside piece looks like a rivet so can you just drill that out and reuse the outer piece?
