98 xc 700 difference in motors?

The sled that we are setting up to race originally had the 824 cylinders. Original owner bought this motor with the 220 jugs, but it has the pink head not the red. Is there something different about these motors besides the jugs? I see the 97 rmk had the pink head. Any info is a help. Thanks

I believe just the cylinders were different. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong

Not sure on the heads I know the 220 cylinders make more power which came on the limited release 97's and part of the 98's
