So I wonder how much knock is masked by the aftermarket head.

A knock sensor is simply a microphone into the engine. Our billet head couldn't mask it even if we wanted it to! We spent a lot of time making dyno runs with different timing changes to eliminate knock issues

I know what it is ... You don't feel the difference in aluminum quality effects the sensitivity of the DET sensor??

If anything, I think billet transfers more consistent sound waves than cast does
