im doing some maintance and re packing bearings. I pulled the jackshaft-driveshaft seals and regreased them. Then went to chaincase and when I popped them out oil came out and were empty of grease. I'm was wondering if you guys leave the inner seal in or pull them. I have pulled them in the past on my xc with no issues. I'm thinking of poking some holes in the seals so the oil can get in there easiler but still hold it in some to prevent the oil from running out. What's your thoughts?

jackshaft side totally gone at 5,800 miles. Can't complain about the mileage but interested in any better methods to keep them greased.
