I have/had a 2015 switchback Pro S, well last Sunday My boys took my sled to go get fresh gas in them. While driving my oldest boy was driving my sled and noticed that the brakes were not working. they turned around and headed back to his house (They live in the UP of Michigan and just received 2 feet of fresh snow the night before). he parked my sled back in the trailer and then they were taking the other 2 sleds to refuel them and get the trail passes they thought that they didn't have enough fuel to make it so turned around and went to get a gas can. he grabbed the can out of the trailer and didn't notice anything wrong and closed the trailer back up. when he was walking back my youngest (20) looked back and seen a lot of smoke coming from the trailer vents so they went back to check it out. when the opened the trailer the sled was on fire and proceeded to pull it out the back of the trailer. they pulled it to the back ramp and at that point, they didn't feel safe moving it any further so they moved away quickly and a couple minutes later the gas tank ruptured and made a good bang. We are not 100% that this was from the brake problem but my son did say that he noticed brake fluid on the right side in the foot area but didn't notice much and said that the level in the reservoir had dropped about half way and that when he parked it the brakes were back to normal but didn't want to risk driving it any further. so the sled burnt down completely and warped the trailer door and frame. both were a total loss. i tried to upload a short video of the burndown but it wouldn't allow it.

so make sure to check your calipers or lines for any signs of leakage or problems. i had checked everything over in the spring and there were no visible problems or issues. when my son first left the house everything was good. be careful i am unsure if anyone else has had issues with the brake system but be very careful, it would really suck going into a corner hot and grab the brake an find nothing there. I loved the sled and really enjoyhed the ride but now im not so sure that i can trust it.

Thats crazy, glad everyone is ok. We cant host Videos on this site, they bog the server down. You would have to upload to Facebook or YouTube and drop in the link to the Video here. Sorry for your loss.
