Gates Belt red dye???

My gates belt came in and I was hoping to post up a review tomorrow but I'm not sure if there is a problem or this is normal. I always wash my belts with dawn soap and a scrub brush incase there is any oils on it from manufacturing, and when I went to wash this gates there is a bunch of red dye coming off from the inside of the belt. Obviously it also got on the sides of the belt from the water running over it. Is this normal for a gates belt?

I wouldn't be concerned, polaris and cat belts have a green tint too them .....

the red dye is normal, I've been running Gates belts for the past few years and they all had the red dye. Wash best you can and rinse with plenty of water.

I just washed and scrubbed mine could see the red in the bottom but didn't really come off I think it's fine
