I like to have my stock pipe's coated just to avoid the rust that occurs after several years. Mostly around the first bend where they get the hottest I don't believe there is a performance gain. I remove the heat shields and then replace them. I have used 2 different places locally that I am not happy with the duarability over all. They did use a exhaust specific coating, but I don't know the brand name. My sled is trailed in a covered trailer. Anyone that does coat, are you happy 3 years down the road? Who do you use?

My xc700 had a swaintech coated pipe and it held up great for many, many years.Still looks great
