2017 Polaris switchback assault 800
Hey guy! I have about 250 miles now on my assault. Noticed last night that my primary stock spring has been hanging up when it gets close to 3/4 or fully compressed on that brass nut (there is wear on the nut and inside of the spring) I can also see the primary is not closing all the way, belt is stopping a good 1/4"-3/8" from the top. Had this issues on my old 2014 switch back pro r as well. What do you guys think the issue might be and possible fixes?

Chamfer/bevel the edge of the jam nut more with a file.

Change spring

Use one thunder product 0.040” primary glide washer

Machine for overdrive to get belt to top

Ok thanks a lot for the input! I'll start with the bevel of the nut and go from there!
