Has anyone added timing through a pcv with any success. Mostly using for short pulls like 500 ft drags

Yes.
With a pcv.
1,2,3,4 degrees . Depending on were power was made

Are you referring to ramping in more timing just before engagement and slightly after when you wack the throttle to the handle bar from a dead stop? You should be using the rev limiter in the pcv too,it works very well..

Was going to add 2 degree from 7500 to 8200 .

Rev limiter, you need a key from Dyno jet

Do u have a pipe on this or stock pipe?

Any timing (especially 2 or more)after 8000 rpm lowers you're peak power rpm ..

The rev limter function just needs to be enabled in th PCV and use a momentary switch to activate. Works great for building pipe heat. It probably is not the best for the reeds though.

Hard on everything when timing is retarded a lot to make pipe heat for sure. Don't have to go as far as 600 iqr in retarding timing. Just for staging easier and build a little bit quicker pipe heat
