Does anyone think the 22/37 will be geared to high?
 
The 850 motor should have long legs with that gearing. For the 1.25" lug I think it will be a good choice, anything more will cause excess spinning. If you could get the traction, I myself would rather a little lower gearing for some extra arm pulling power.
 
I’m curious to see how this 22/41 works with this storm 150, i have a feeling it’s to low . Will definitely need to stud as well
 
The 41/22 1:86 gearing will be fine for the 1.5” track.
If you wanted a 1.5” lug then you’re obviously not concerned about top end.
I ran the same ratio in my Modded Engine 136” x 1.5” lug, INDY 800 and it pulled damn hard.

15” wide track only 11” is 1.50. And varies a little. So perhaps a compromise of sorts. Would think 37/23 would work well. Thoughts
 
Not sure what you mean by 11” is 1.5 ??
And 37/23 is a 1:61 ratio...too high. That’s a good combo for say a speed track running 2500’ lol
 
Ok ya that's a 1:74 ratio. IMO I think that will be a good combo for the 129" skid and good top end MPH on either the 1.25" or 1.352" lug track.
What track did your sled come with and what gearing?
 
Try that gearing 1st and see how you like it. It’s a 1:86 ratio. I run that ratio with different gears in my 2015 INDY 800 with a 136” skid and it’s arm pulling performance.

I know a couple guys with 850s been racing and the 1.5” lug is out performing the 1.25” lug.
This is loose snow conditions no studs.

I will, just think with botton end power you wouldn’t need to gear that high and you have less spin, might even throw a 100/305 primary spring at it.

So what did you try or found out about your gearing??I just snow checked a 2020 137" with 1.5 storm track and was curious about what top speed you saw also ??
 
I’m curious too. Just got my VR1 850 with the 1.5 Storm track. How’s everybody like the gearing? Did anybody make changes?
