Traded my 2916 Pro S LE 800 with 8100km for a 2019 Indy XC 800 on Dec 22. First ride Dec 27-30. Timiskaming, Rouyn-Noranda-Noranda, La Sarre, in Quebec, 917km (570 miles). Ski Doo soft bag fits well without drilling . . . does slow me down though!

New Indy handles as well as the Pro S, rear suspension is an improvement and supports storage.

At least you have snow to play on :(

I finally have mine dialed in and handles amazingly now, out of the box it was horrible, 3 weekends of tweaks with rides in various conditions after each tweak it is now one of the best handling sleds I have had in recent years........ and I am in no WAY a Polaris fan, in fact this is my second Polaris in 25 sleds............ LUV IT!!

I have a question regarding the handling of your indy XC. I currently ride a 2016 ski doo MXZ-X 600 e-tec and my goal is to have it set up so that I can help steer through a corner by applying throttle and be able to have the skis hold their line so I can slide the rear end of the machine to help complete the turn. Kind of like a power slide on a dirt bike. I've tweaked the rear and front suspension as much as I can on my ski doo and I'm close but not quite there. I've heard the new Indy may be able to achieve this. Would appreciate your thoughts and anyone else's on this.

If conditions are semi loose to loose I can do this as the the rear skid on the Polaris comes around nicely ( I have the 1.25" track) but you would need to run a more aggressive ski to do it more often and that would come with more steering effort. My son runs the 600 ski doo blizzard with 1.5" track, exit shocks and C & A skis and he can do this a fair bit but his shoulders and arms are tired by the end of the day from the steering effort.

I know this is an old post but I’m new here. I’m new to snowmobiling and just picked up a new Indy XC 129” and it seems really softly sprung for me. I already adjusted the front shock adjustment 5 clicks each side and it’s definitely better but the back is so soft still even after adjusting that torsion spring adjuster? Any suggestions?

Depending on your weight you can often get stiffer preload springs. I assume you have adjusted the preload already? This will make steering softer or harder depending on what you do. Owners manual should give you guidance on this change.
