Just wondering what are some small things I can do you approve the Peformance of this sled? The only thing I have done to it now is a slp can!! Any suggestions would be great!

Stud it
Clutch it
Gear it

What is the best clutch kit for the switchback 800?

Put a 140/220 secondary spring in with 3 delrin washers. Change the primary spring to a venom white, green if you run mostly trail and not much deep snow. Buy SLP magnum weights, the 40-151 if you think you may buy an 850 in the future, the 40-150 and 40-158 inserts if not. Set either one to 69 grams to start with. Look for 8200 rpm max. Verify clutch alignment, secondary should have .060" float, change all 4 motor mount inserts to #3023290.

I am running a 50/42 and a 140/240, Dalton QAP3s, Dalton 135/310 Primary, SLP Pipe and PCV. Sled hauls ass!
This running against my Buddies INDY XC 850 while he's testing clutching and gearing. There's one 850 in our group that's a weapon. We figure he cut his head, has an ECU reflash or timing key-he will not tell us!

2017 pro-s switchback 800, with ice attack XT track. I’m currently geared 1.74, running 120/310 white venom primary spring, 10-68 weights, 140/220 secondary spring, 48/44 helix with one Delrin under the cup and gates belt. Sled pulls hard up to around 95mph then slowly creeps up from there. I’m seeing 8250-8350 for rpms. I replaced all 4 mounts earlier this season with the ones pockets mentioned in his post.
I’m trying to decide if I should go up in primary weight to bring the RPMs down a bit or make spring changes?
Pockets is there any other changes you’d suggest I make to my setup?

Put 2 more delrin washers in, one in the spring cup, one in the spider where the rollers are. Put 2 slick washers in the primary clutch, one on each end of the spring. Go to 10-70 weights to pull the rpm to 8250 max.

Pockets, are you getting the Slick washers from Indy Dan or elsewhere? I checked on SLP site and they don't show them.
Or is there anywhere in Canada? I see you are in Alberta. I am in NS.

I use the ones in the Thunder Products kit. Purchase from Recreation Supply in Saskatoon.

Thanks for the recommendations
I’ll make these changes in the off season. I just added dalton adjustable weights as well before I put the sleds away for the summer. Set them at 69.2g and will adjust from there after seeing how rpms are
For the slick washers I’m assuming you just use the 2 coated ones and not the other 3?
