Awesome!! Thanks

Here is a review from Snow Trax TV of the Assault but many of the features are common on the Indy VR1 also...

Picked up my Indy VR1 today. So far I’m impressed with the ergonomics for rider and knee position. Very narrow between the knees and more forward space for knees. Seat is way better in that it’s material makes it easier to transfer body left to right. Old style seats we grippy.

Fit and finish looks good, new panels secure nicely and 7S screen looks like it will be great.

Here are a few pics.

Congrats!! Really looks sharp! Love that big gauge.

Does this mark the end of the Axis chassis as we know it? I might think yes....?

I could see them keeping the 600 axys switchback or Indy xc axys for a while unless they put the 600 in a vr1 The Iron dog race has a 600 cc limit.

My thoughts after roughly 300 miles...

Sled is a beast on power! Pulls hard very happy.

Riding ergo is fantastic for me, I was concerned about hitting my knees on the plastic but found that based on how the sled is designed my knee doesn't hit the plastic.

Suspension was great, I added the HD torsions for my weight and it provide with the level of adjustments I wanted.

I was happy with the 7S GPS and trails. Still learning how is all works together while riding with way points etc.. but the trails were accurate and switching screens from the handle bars was nice.

Overall, very please with this sled so far- well the mid windshield is still too low an a tall looks terrible IMO.

My brother in law as 150 miles on his 2021 650 VR1, preforms like a dream but glancing off a rock/stump at 15-20 mph resulted in A-arm failure and the ski twisting 180 degrees. This has happed twice, is this just bad luck or is the front suspension fragile?

If I hit a rock/stump at 15-20 MPH I'd expect the A-Arm to rip off. It's not designed for that kind of impact and I would surely expect some damage in a situation like that. Of course it all depends on how solid the hit is but hitting a stump is always a scary thing.

Thank for your reply, I guess it’s not like the indestructible late 90’s Indy trail

Better then taking a chunk out of the bulk head.
