What's everybody seeing for top end on the dream meter on their 850?

I've seen 113 on max recall. My buddy has seen 118. I clutched his sled and mine. He passes me on top end like I'm going the other way.

So nobodys paid attention to their top speed?

You are going to find a lot of variances on this, even from a purely stock perspective. Chassis, gearing, track, length, etc. You will find that the Pro XC sleds are a bit slower than the Indy's. And the XCR models are a bit faster due to the 2.52 pitch. Assaults have always been fast, but that depends on the track. The track on all models coming from the factory has different gearing matched to the track - example: 1.75" and 2" tracks are geared really low; 1.25/1.3 tracks are geared fast; 1.6 tracks are somewhere in between. I know this is the Indy XC forum, but this all still applies even for just the Indy XC.

For reference - my 2020 850 Assault (all stock) with 1.6 Cobra track and gearing topped out at 106 on the dream meter.

I know all of what you posted. But I found my problem. That's it 106? A guy who I ride with has the same sled and track that you do and on his dreamometer he's seen 112 mph. I changed clutching on his and it made a world of a difference he told me. Cost less than $200.00 for clutching parts.

I was still in break-in mode. Maybe that had something to do with it.
