I'm super pumped to be back following the Star again...last Polaris was back in 01.5' when they introduced the xc 700 with ves...man, time has flown by!

I'm coming off a xf 7000 141" and loved the motor but disliked the weight and a few other things... It also left me stranded the other day 60 miles from home when the chaincase threw a fit.

I'm looking for recommendations on where I should start for my front and rear suspension settings...I'm 260lbs without gear and ride central NH trails only. What are you putting on for carbides as well? Tomorrow's pick up day!

Open up the owners manual make sure it is set to factory specs and adjust from there . I run the factory 4 inch till there gone then bounce between 4 and 6 inch depending on conditions.

Look at updating the torsion springs. I think you may be at the upper limit at 260lbs w/o gear. Also, consider shimming the skis. Other than that you will need to get some butt time on the sled to determine what suspension points you will need to tweak. Still darting? adjust your front shock spring. Ski lift? Adjust your Ski Shock spring

My settings @ 6’4 240lbs? I’ve got HD torsion springs, 5 threads showing on my ski springs, and about 6 or 7 turns from where the factory set the front shock spring.
(Running 8” Bergstrom Skegs w/ Gripper Skis)

Perfect! I shimmed the skis today and am actually going to order Xtra heavy because I purchased the 2 up seat as well for the fiancé on occasion. I saw the listed torsion spring chart and should have just grabbed them when I picked up the sled.
