On my buddy's 850 we are going to try 78 gram weights ground down to 76 grams because Polaris doesn't have 76 gram weights anymore and either the stock spring or the gold spring. That should get the rpm down to 8050-8100.

My buddy has a 2020 XCR 850 and it runs a little below 100 and as high as 102. Mine runs around 125
What would you recommend for a different snow flap? I put a different flap on my 17 Assault and it made a heck of a difference. Thanks.
I'm 57 miles shy of 3000 miles and the only problem that I've had was the temperature sensor harness shitting the bed. My buddy is 15 shy of 3000 miles and his temperature harness went south also. The 19's had problems blowing up but Polaris fixed that problem on the 20's. There you heard it...
I know all of what you posted. But I found my problem. That's it 106? A guy who I ride with has the same sled and track that you do and on his dreamometer he's seen 112 mph. I changed clutching on his and it made a world of a difference he told me. Cost less than $200.00 for clutching parts.
I have a 2020 850 Indy XC. The low temperature red bar at the bottom of the gauge goes out between 65 and 70 degrees. On one ride the red bar came on and the temperature degrees fluctuated wildly. Turned out that the harness to the temperature sender failed. The problem is not self correcting...
When my 2020 Indy XC 850 arrived at my dealer the snow flap wasn't shipped with the flap mounted so the mechanic installed them. Way better than removing your flap when you get it home and installing the protectors.
Sorry to hear that your 850 is not performing like it should. So far I have 2943 miles on mine and other than the temperature sensor cable I'm quite happy with it. I bought a spare cable to replace one if it failed on the trail and wouldn't you know that if I didn't have a spare cable it would...
Stick with the Polaris belt. I broke mine in with a Gates belt. The rpm was all over the place. I found the Polaris belt to last longer and be more consistent in rpm.
