Before you reshim the primary check your belt to sheave clearance. It should be .005 to .035. If your over .035 this will give you a harsh engagement and needs to be reshimed. Also check belt deflection. Do you have the stock belt or aftermarket?
Wife's old sled had a similar problem with her clock tried the gauge in a different sled and no problem. It ended up just making sure it was plugged all the way in. Try dielectric grease on the plug.
The info I have shows the Polaris gold @ 100-275. This spring was run in an 800 a while back 2017 or 2018 I think. The one I had fatigued out fast and dropped RPM. May have been a bad run of springs.
Jamie are you seeing more gains when adding tip weight or heel weight. When I have more time on my sled (only 2+hrs) Was going to try and move more weight to the heel.
It has a higher engagement yes but it's also about .50 longer. The service manual gives the free lenght and it's one of the longest springs. You really have to push on the cover and make sure its aligned with the center shaft of the clutch just to get the bolts to start. It's much easier if...
To change weights I have a bar that I put between the spider and outside sheave to ply the clutch closed and drop an old weight between a roller and weight to hold the clutch closed. Change two weights then move the weight thats holding the clutch closed over and change the 3rd weight.
Jamie did you get your fuel type to stay on Non-lethal. Had a similar issue with my wife's old sled. Everything on her gauge would work fine but the clock would always need to be reset when the sled was turned off. Plugged the gauge into another sled and no problem. Plugged it back into her...
Do you still have the stock spring in the primary. Finally had a chance to ride mine. I'm at 73 grams SLP but have a sled werx primary Green Yellow 122/285 and at about 8100 stock 2ndary with bearing in. I only have 2 hrs on the sled so going wait until it's out of break in
Just bring this to the top again. The main problem for 2020 is the jumper harness between the temp sensor and the main harness. The temp sensor plug end would loss connection because the contacts became weak. Digging in the contactor with a pick or small screwdriver to bend them back in would...
Just a question did you check the clutch offset. I know at times if you pull the 2ndary off some of the shims can stick to the clutch and fall off if not noticed. How far above the 2ndary is the clutch riding when the sled is not running. Check the primary spring if its broke or distorted and...

I have some 11 series weights and haven't used them in anything for a while. Polaris came out with theses in the mid 2000's when they had the 700 and 900 fusions and those were a lower RPM sled being 7200-7300 RPM. They worked better in those sleds than the 10 series. It's been s while since...
Take your pick search amazon durometer gauges, the lower the number the softer the belt. Check it on each side and if it's a used belt scuff it up with a scotchbrite pad
Feel your pain the guys that don't have there sleds yet.
Talking to guys at work and there's issues with Ski-Doo sleds also. Guy picked up his and his son's sled, his son couldn't go with. Got the sleds home to find his son's sled was the wrong sled. Was suppose to have the updated gauge and...
