Ya I'm in the holding pattern here waiting to see what's going on with the heat shields and some test results to see if they work well to keep more heat in that pipe.
Ahhhhhgggg it's been a lot of years so idk I like dalton helix but back then I think I was using a formax but they didn't measure correct the stray angle was right but the finish was off a degree or 2 so a 36 was a 37/38 I think I used that but also used a 50/36 Polaris .the start angle is short...
You could hear it down a touch but again you will have to control the spin so I wouldn't go more than maybe a tooth .stock was 24/40 if I remember correctly. I don't know what you have for a track so it's hard to say.
62-64 grams 140/300 primary 50/36.-50/38 earlansson purple secondary at approx 12-14 lbs of twist. That's a pretty decent hardpack set up using readily available generic parts. Your gonna need good traction to hook it up so spend some time on the chassis set up to get it to come out hard. Stud...
It has about 370 miles. Not sure on the hours off top of my head. It's run good the whole time don't seem to have any issues at this point .i was just thinking because I agent studded it yet that the chassis drag in deeper snow would load it more than the trail but I can see what your saying...
Yes it performs well. And it is stock Ecu stock pipe for now. I should have mentioned the deeper snow I was referring isn't a powdery condition but a deeper wet heavy snow. Which is why I'm a lil confused. One would think this would drag the rpm down not move it up. So I'm thinking it maybe...
looking for some input. 2017 prox 800 w 1.352 cobra and stock gearing for cobra. Bone stock revving 8400 with occasional 8450 . Went to 10-68 and 280 finish primary. Now sled revs 8300 most of time 8350 some times and not rare to see 8400. In soft trail snow it's usually 8300. In harder trail...
Also there are a lot of good tips on here on clutching and pipes etc. but don't forget to play the game handicap yourself remember you have the smaller sled. By handicap I mean make sure you have a hot pipe figure out the strong areas of your sled and the weak areas of his. Maybe yours launches...
How many miles on your sled so far. It takes a bit for them to loosen up. Not only engine but track etc. I was hard on mine from the second I pulled it from crate but it still took a couple hundred miles to settle In an at 300 miles it's still getting faster . If it hasn't already let it settle...
actually it was in its own class before they ran em. nobody thought it would be fair to compare and 850 to poo and cat running 800s . But under further review........
