Seems like my fuel gauge is reading more accurately and I've done nothing. After several sled trips and just monitoring the amount of fuel I'm adding I'd agree it's been accurate for now.
Kinda weird?
I've got Woody's Slim Jim Dual carbides on wife's 600 rush. No darting what so ever. If you don't want that then simple shimming of the skies should solve it too.
Bergstrom sells shims for like $15.
Did you find a solution to this issue yet? My 600 Rush is doing the same thing now. I'm gonna clean the exhaust valves and see if that solves it. I have 3,700 miles on it and have not cleaned them yet so I'm thinking that's the issue.
I'm experiencing some issues on a similar sled, just curious once the plug is fouled I assume it's obvious with one cylinder firing. Mine seems to idle and run good but seems like it's missing some top end power. Don't think it's a plug, suspect my exhaust valves need to be cleaned.
Your plug...
I have a 2016 600 Rush Pro S with 3700 miles. It seems to be a bit flat on the top end recently.
My guess is I need to clean the exhaust valves. I've never done it yet.
Any other thoughts?

It's a forum guys, this is where we talk and share feedback on real world experiences. Has anyone seen 3,000 or 4,000 or 5,000 miles on a belt or does everyone change theirs before 3,000?
Lets discuss! lol
I have a Polaris Rush 600 Pro S. I have 3,400 miles on the original belt. I do a good job breaking them in, maintaining the proper adjustments, warming them up before hitting the throttle heavy and keeping the sheaves clean.
What are people seeing for belt life? Part of me thinks it may be...
You talking about the center shock directly under where you sit? If so, that has always been a bit of trial and error in order to establish the proper ski pressure you like. Maybe the owners manual talks about stock settings for spring pre-load? Start from there and adjust to you riding style.
I called the dealer today and there were no bulletins from Polaris on this issue. I called Polaris today and logged a case to get them looking into it.
If this is a common issue we need to get Polaris informed for a solution.
Seems many are starting to notice the fuel gauge being too generous as to how much you actually have. Have there been an updates for fixes yet for anyone?
- What are dealers saying?
- What is Polaris saying?
Maybe a simple flash will solve this but wanted a thread so everyone can share updates...
Looking to do a destination trip next year (after Covid) to the Adirondack's. Wondering if anyone who lives there or has visited there can offer some insight on the following:
- Places to stay
- things to see
- places to go
- unique sled permit requirements etc..
Living in Michigan I'd like to...
So far no issues on my VR1 identified although I do recall questioning the fuel gauge as it seemed generous compared to what was show on my wife’s Rush.
She has a 12 gallon tank and by the time hers showed below 1/2 tank mine was still showing 80%. However we both put in about the same amount...
Lucky to get 300 miles in over NYE in Grand Marais, Mi. By the end of the trip trails were bad and temps were in 30’s.
New VR1 850 is broke in but there is no good snow presently in Mi.
