I have found even when loading up a more standard profile weight I still cannot get it to accelerate as good as the more aggressive profile. The more aggressive profiles are not as forgiving to conditions changing and getting them setup is not as forgiving so there are some tradeoffs. For...
Just a picture comparing the shift curve profile for reference. polaris 10 series in front, the slp magnums in the middle, and SSI weights in the rear.
I have a set that im just trying now. So far they seem Pretty good . Lot of mass towards the heel for belt grip. The shift profile is very very similar to a 10 series and to the SSI weight. I think they will be a good all around weight . I will be testing them against a more aggressive profile...
Update: I have checked the seals and boots with ether. no change, I have not cpulled the reeds yet. Neal from bikeman sent me a new tune and it purrs like a kitten at 1750 Rpm.
2015 pro s. I'm still having poor (low rpm rough) idle issue. Does not do it in reverse idles fine @1750. does It with the belt on or off. Heres what has been tried . TPS has been set at least 10 times(dealer and myself). throttle blades backed off. base setting is spot on idle has been...
I used 4 8" arctic cat wheels across the back. I did have to make a new center stepped shaft and some flanged bushings to keep the wheels center correctly as the bearing widths are different than what the axle kit was designed for. Im guessing if you called avid and explained what you're...
I agree with the old 4 driver setups.. Was that because it kept the track flatter or because it spread out the contact surface between the track and drivers?
If anything the pipe mod is very slightly quieter. When I asked them they said their pipe vs their pipemod would be very close in performance but the pipe would weigh a few lbs. less.
The rev limter function just needs to be enabled in th PCV and use a momentary switch to activate. Works great for building pipe heat. It probably is not the best for the reeds though.
I am using the bullydog with the docking station and A/F gauge. I am also piggybacking the pcv w/timing control. the bully dog tune for the bmp setup works great it reads the the systems sensors and is constantly adjusting parameters, and being able to see, monitor and datalog all the temps...
It sounds to me like he may be changing roller dia. Or is really changing the spider shimming to get that much flyweight leverage change. Maybe he he's trueing the sheeted enough to do this? Could someone with these setups caliper the rollers or take the spider off and check?
I would not get totally caught up in how heavy a weight you can pull with in reason. Now days there are so many weight profiles with the mass located differently, and unlimited helix and springs combinations. now if you cant pull the exact setup you have been able to in the past then you may...
