700 engine swap 800

I have a 2008 dragon 800 with about 4,500 miles. Engine blew up after a rebuild 1,000 miles or so ago. Everyone tells me I was lucky to get 1,000 miles out of a rebuild and that the 700 engine is bullet proof. I have two older 700's and they are very reliable. My question is what would happen...
