Shock shafts on a 0 mile 2016 Pro S. I'm just venting.

I picked it up as a month back. I just got the opportunity to look it over and noticed the shafts.

The center shock shaft is perfect. The fronts are pitted where the bump stops were, and starting to rust in other spots. The rear shaft had a dusting of surface corrosion in spots. When wiped off, they look like dark water spots.

The dealer is great. Everything will be fixed. But holy crap! These shafts look like shit.

Ignoring the rust. The surface finish is all over the place. Different on all parts of the shaft. They are lightly dinged and scratched all over. Looking at them under light magnification, they look almost porous.

Just crap shafts! But the center shaft looks like it came from a different company. With the center shaft being smaller and not having the bore for the needle, maybe less target for cost reduction.

Wow.I'd be pissed.
My Fox QS3's on my Switchback Adventure looked good when I had them off a month ago.
How was the sled stored?
BTW, welcome to Polaris Star Power!

Last year was essentially snowless. I imagine the sled was stored outside sometimes for advertising. But not enough to excuse the shafts.

The rest of the sled looks normal.

Polaris sourced Walker shocks are good. But they can cut to the bone sometimes to save $$. These shafts look like they made by ancient blacksmithing methods. The center shock shaft looks perfect.

Fox shafts are usually well made out of normal materials.

Walker shafts have crap chroming they are known to do this I have had this issue before. Even in my IQR they were junk i told the race department and they sent me new ones no questions asked. There quality control is also pretty bad make sure you look them over good they a lot of time have issues that need corrected
