I own a new Polaris 800 Pros with the dark Blue Running Boards. I've seen the rider foot position wear out the powder coating down to bare aluminium on newer
sleds. I have a suggestion to help reduce some paint wear and provide a better foothold for us sled heads. I use that adhesive grip tape used on stair treads. I placed a small six inch strip in the foot rest and a longer piece on the close-off running board. It has a wide radius where the paint will rub away from the side of your boot. I provided a couple pictures, hope this helps. Happy sledding
