Fuel Gauge Inaccurate Readings?

Seems many are starting to notice the fuel gauge being too generous as to how much you actually have. Have there been an updates for fixes yet for anyone?

- What are dealers saying?
- What is Polaris saying?

Maybe a simple flash will solve this but wanted a thread so everyone can share updates as to what they experience and how it may have been fixed.

Example - wifes sled (Rush 600) will show less than half tank and my sled will show 80% but at the pump we both fill up with the same number of gallons and her tank is 12 gal while my tank is 11.5 gal.

Please share any information you have for resolution.

I saw the Caputo Performance post on Facebook this morning, saying everyone who has issues with the fuel mode changing needs to contact their dealer ... this must be another flavor of the fuel issues on the 7S. My niece's husband is up north now, and he's got the new Assault (VR1) and said he's experiencing a power loss because his sled is detecting low fuel pressure ... despite having the better part of a 1/3 or 1/4 tank of fuel. He's hoping it's just a fuel line pickup issue - but still ... sucks on a brand new sled that it's having that type of issue when there's plenty of gas in the tank.
 
I called the dealer today and there were no bulletins from Polaris on this issue. I called Polaris today and logged a case to get them looking into it.

If this is a common issue we need to get Polaris informed for a solution.
 
I have the same issue and posted the below question to their help center and Facebook page. I will be calling polaris next week fto log an official case for tracking.

"I have a 2021 VR1 850 137. When riding I noticed that the fuel gauge is not accurate. I filled my tank to 100%. 40 miles into my ride the fuel guage still flucuated between 95%-100%. When I stopped for gas the sled took about 3 gallons of gas. Is there a recall, service bulletin, or firmware update to address the fuel gauge inaccuracy issue?"

This might be the same issue as mine, there is a module up on the right side that controls several functions, my dealer told me he had a couple other sleds that were bad, I'd only get 8100 RPM and it would fall on it's face if held wide open.
 
It is generous and not working correctly. When they first came out with the PIDD guage(polaris interactive display) the fuel gauge was also not that accurate but they did a software update to fix it. Im expecting a 7s guage software update in the future that will fix these issues. For now, we are going to have to watch the trip meter
 
The fuel gauge on my 840 does not work at all it reads on low no matter how much fuel is in the tank, every once in a while it will move up to 40% then quickly return to low. I have spoken with my dealer several weeks ago, he is waiting direction from Polaris. Everything else is fine I just keep an eye on the odometer and make sure I get fuel at around 100 miles, my 650’s fuel gauge seems to be somewhat accurate or on par with what we had in the past.
Now the issue Caputo performance is talking about is when the 21 840 switches over to non premium mode from premium non ethanol mode on its own, I believe Turbo Jamie was having issues with his sled switching over to non premium mode. It seems to happen when guy’s are loading their motors with additional primary weight. I have heard that Polaris has hinted that there is additional safeguards built into the 21 programming, kinda like a pre detonation safeguard, the Ecu switches over to non premium mode. Dealers are taking vin numbers of affected unit and sending them into Polaris in an attempt to create a service bulletin.

I'm assuming his 7s display flashed a "low fuel pressure" warning of some sort for him to know there was an issue?
 
Seems like my fuel gauge is reading more accurately and I've done nothing. After several sled trips and just monitoring the amount of fuel I'm adding I'd agree it's been accurate for now.

Kinda weird?

I have been riding with 5 matryx this winter ALL of them change fuel type on their own without any indication why. Stock or clutched it does not matter.
No indication on the gauge the only way you notice is lack of performance which is very noticeable.
 
Just noticed on my last ride that my fuel type changed from 91 non ethenol to ethenol.

That sucks, need to figure out why this is happening.
 
wife's 650 and my 850 both changed fuel type from non oxy to oxy this past weekend..
 
What are guys seeing this season? My gauge seems to be accurate this year and I’ve done nothing.

Seeing 11 MPG but I’m heavy on throttle.
 
In addition, I too have noticed that my 91-non ethynol keeps reverting back to regular unleaded from time to time. Pretty frustrating, is there a known fix?
