IQ 700 gauge cluster intermittent

The gauge cluster on my 2008 IQ 700 shuts off and on, and the speedo needle does it’s startup process. Anybody know what the problem is before I tear into it?

That’s what I’m thinking too. It’s a non electric start model but for some reason it shows the battery charge level on the display and the charge level increases and decreases.
