Was finally able to get the sled out.

Race # 3 1/8 mile racing
Everything went pretty well.
First pass was 6.44 @ 103.71 mph. Right off the trailer, first pass since setup in the shop. Rpm’s were 200 low but AFR was a little lean but ok to race. With only being able to run 2 passes before racing I decided not to make any changes and run it.
Second pass was 6.49 @ 103mph. Close enough to race.
Round 1. Dial 6.44. Ran 6.50 @ 103 mph. Won reaction time .050
Round 2. Dial 6.44. Ran 6.49 @ 103 mph. Won reaction time .070
Round 3. Dial 6.46. Ran 6.49 @ 103 mph. Loss reaction time .135. Loss due to poor light by me. Lost race by .020.

Overall I had a great day. New sled just setup running constantly is a great thing. With adjustments I see 6.20’s next time out, with a goal to get below 6.10 by our last race.

We had 56 entries in this bracket group for this race. We also average over 50 sled per event.

By the way this sled ran the fastest times of all stock motor 800 and 850 sleds racing this series on its first time out. Without any testing or dyno time.

I would like to thank everyone that helped out with this sled.

thanks for sharing these results. those are very consistent runs!
curious as to what your doing to get that consistency.

Basically it's in the setup. Our clutching coupled with suspension setup so that you do not spin. How the sled sits and reacts after the hit is key. no/very little ski lift so that you get good weight transfer and move forward not up with front of sled.

August 6-7 race weekend.
the air was very bad with high heat and humidity.
sled was still able to make gains.
runs were 6.35-6.36 @ 104 mph and a win on Friday night with a friend riding the sled. Next race is this Friday and Saturday. With testing on Friday. Hope to make more gains but the forecast is horrible air again. Test session on Friday will be nice for making adjustments. Will report back after the weekend.
