Not trying to sound dumb. Took my seat off and it appears there is not enough room between the fuel tank and the front shock mount to remove the front mounting bolt. So before I do more work than necessary do I need to remove the fuel tank. I guess I am being lazy so I thought I would ask.

I figured it out. I removed the rear tank bolt and it didnt loosen up and that is why I asked the question. Well aluminum adventure saddle bag bracket was pushing against the tank a bit not allowing the tank to lift up. Removed the bracket and the tank was easily lifted out of the way to remove the shock bolt.
