2016 switchback pro s 800
my traylor has a couple eye bolts in the floor now. It is a 10x5 sled fits perfect. It has a drop down door. What are you guys putting down for easy on offs? I seen some tracks at Walmart on line for like $100. So can I ratchet tie down sled or should I invest in the tie downs that go on the skis? Or is it even necessary in a traylor this size?

I see what it is now thanks! But is it hard to load with no guides for your skis? Looks like it may be a little slippery. I just don't wanna smash the side of traylor or the nose lol.
 
Bite the bullet and invest in a good ski guide system. You will thank yourself in the middle of the winter.
And as racerdave said, you must tie down the sled. In an emergency situation, your sled can become a missile, hurting yourself or someone else.
 
It must not actually be a sled trailer if it doesn't have a center tie down for a ski bar holddown which is what I have had on every sled trailer since the early 70's. For back holdown I carage bolt a 12x12 1/4 thick steel plate under the floor. This has a slot and a hole in it same on floor wood that my tie down strap hook drops though and I pull back up on. I use soft loops around my bumper.

Thanks Dave, it's actually a utility traylor, it has 15 inch wheels. I bought it for $200 from my best friend. I think I'm ahead of the game for that lol. So why do the sled traylor S have the little wheels anyway? Will I be ok with this traylor in the snow?

It may change if u are talking an enclosed trailer, but for me i just have a open two place, U have to line it up straight to load for sure no diffrent then when i used ramps into truck (when i was single lol) but it works great as far as im conserned.
U do have to watch as its very very slipery, ur machine will actually slide down if the trailer is tilted, for that reason i cut a useless old track in two for grip now i can crawl right up and simply hold break till whoever im with tilts trailer back up.

For tieing it down u must use some sort of ski clamp, i still use old threaded system but the alumina i have is great it can adjust for any ski or sled lenght,
Beware i disliked not tieing the rear of the machine down and drilled a hook system to back of trailer so i could ratchet rear bumpers down, however the problem is if ur sled is shorter then the trailer ur actually pulling it backwards via unlimited ski tie down adjustments!! I drove ten min outta town and noticed my machine was no longer at the front of trailer the ratchet strap actually was pulling it off. I just wanted to share that make someone else doesnt make this mistake, it always worked with single hole drilled in trailler on the old syle i had. But For the new trailer make sure that u either pull fronwards and backwards or mount something to tie your machines down from the side.

Well worth the cost, work exactly as advertised with zero hassles.
 
Cost will make yer butt pucker a hair but use em just once and you won't care. No more reaching across a salt soaked trailer, release is at the outter edge. For added security, spot to pad lock the handle. Had em on my last + current trailers, would never go back to a frozen or seized spin down at the front and straps at the rear.

The weak link on those to me is the little hook {plastic??} that goes into the steel u hook.
 
Anywhere strength is a must, clamp components are steel. Built like a brickshit house, just don't look it.
