Number 10 rod goes from the oil pump up to the throttle body which has a set screw & nut that you have to adjust. I dont think pic came out right but you can see the rod on the breakdown on Babbits sight. Locate the pic of oil pump which you will see the rod & follow it from oil pump to throttle...

The fuel gauge/ sending unit, not sure which one is the culprit , I never even look at it anymore. The only fix I know is hit a gas station whenever you are getting to the 100 mile range. It's a shame for what you pay for these that an old float on the tank cap works better.
